The DAY Programme

DAY is a unique multimedia programme that uses short films, advertisements and chart music to raise awareness and provide education about domestic abuse and child sexual exploitation in a relevantand exciting way.  I wrote DAY six years ago as a Train the Trainer resource.  I have trained over 180 practitioners to deliver DAY and hundreds of young people each year are gaining knowledge and understanding about abuse and exploitation through DAY sessions.

 

Direct Work

I deliver assemblies and sessions to young people.  Sessions can include information about:

  • Domestic abuse

  • Sexual Exploitation

  • Gender awareness and feminism

  • Pornography

  • Online Safety

  • Critical thinking and popular culture

 

Training

I create bespoke training for teachers, youth workers and other youth practitioners on issues including:

  • Gender awareness and feminism

  • Pornography

  • Online Safety

  • Critical thinking and popular culture

 

Writing

I write for many different audiences about abuse, exploitation, pornography, gender and young people, including:

  • Articles for printed and online media

  • Blogs

  • Resources

  • Reviewing and developing existing material
